Troubleshooting the SPX 8200 Scale

What happens when the scales don't calibrate correctly?

Occasionally, you will find that the scales are off by several grams. This procedure will set the calibration back to where it needs to be.

Important: Make sure to use the center of the scale to ensure accuracy. Often when bottles (or weights) are off-center, the calibrations will be incorrect.

Step-by-step Calibration

1. Make sure the switch on the bottom of the scale is unlocked.
   
2. Make sure the switch under the pan is unlocked.
   
3. Make sure the scale is plugged into power.
   
4. Simultaneously hold down the ON button and the MENU button.
   
5. Release the buttons when the scale says "SErVcE". 
   
6. The scale will show Lin. Hit the YES button.
   
7. The scale will show 0g. Hit YES. The scale will begin calibrating and show 4000g.
   
8. Put the 4000g weights on the center of the scale.
   
9. Hit the YES button.
   
10. The scale will show 8000g.
    
11. Add the remaining weights to total 8000g.
    
12. Hit the YES button.
    
13. The scale will then flash "donE".
