How to Transfer Counts to Different Computer (Slave to Master)

Counting in Pilot

This video will show how to move account information from one computer to another. Also known as SLAVE to MASTER.



When using Pilot R2 and need to transfer count or purchase data from one machine to another:

1.  Click "Stocktake & Purchase Data Import/Export" Button

A new window will appear where you'll choose EXPORT.

2.  Select the date for the data you wish to export.

3.  Select where to put the info (ideally on the desktop)

4.  Click "OK"

5.  Click "Export"

Once you select EXPORT, the DATA IS DELETED FROM THE SYSTEM.
6. A WARING window will appear. If you're sure, click "YES".

7. Find the exported file on the desk top and send it to your jump drive.

To ADD the file to a new/different computer:

1.  Locate the file (on the jump drive)

2. In Pilot, click "Stocktake & Purchase Data Import/Export" Button

A new window will appear where you'll choose IMPORT

3.  Select the file, click OPEN

4. Click "IMPORT"

5. Click "Yes"
